I was called to  help out today, on my day off and ended up working a full day shift, instead of just being 5 hours to cover for the busy period of the day.  Was a fantastic day thru … sunny but felt cold in an air-conditioned environment, don’t really like it.  A Chinese Chef was  on schedule so we’ve had Chicken Yakisoba  or as we normally call it ~ Chicken Chow Mein for lunch!!!     He prepared like for 5 staff members and it was nice and tasty.  We can barely get something ‘oriental’ under the cluster of American filled hotel menu!  I like some of the menu but  do not like those that has lots of cheese in it, it taste terrible sometimes  -  to me personally but other people will like it.

I’ve been reading the July issue of Martha Stewart LIVING magazine – with the theme – a taste of summer.  There a just lots of food ideas to try out … have tried some of the simplest of salads for a change in my diet lately.  Like it a lot, I guest eating less can keep me a lil ‘fit’!

Hmmmm … its my day off!      A pretty quiet day though  ~ I’ve been staying home and lazing around, just wanted to spend time being at home.    One thing I’ve done … watched Michael Jackson’s Memorial on TV.   It was an emotional time especially for his  family but it was a beautiful memorial event for someone legendary – what a huge coverage!    His children are so cute .. never really been so public before.   May his soul rest in peace.

Howdy … Its Monday morning!

Its past midnight …. well 1.30am and not in bed yet.  I worked evening and got home at about 1am.    Was checking on my sister’s blog and thought I’d spend sometimes filling in here for a short note!   It has been a very busy evening but nothing to complain about …. nothing new, its been busy busy and busy! At 75F right now, its damn hot and have got the air-conditioner running!   Need to survive the summer heat and enjoy it till Winter sets in again when I’ll be complaining about  the freezing temperature and dreadful driving on snowy road!

Lesley is looking back past pictures of her and some were taken when she was a baby!  I told her that she can’t have those ‘look’ any longer now that she’s nearly 25!  Its always good to look back old pictures …and I am just glad I’ve compiled them nicely for her.

The Weekend is so quite around the office and around… everyone has taken advantage of the 3-day weekend, celebrating the Independence Day tomorrow!   ….  except for a couple of Sales colleagues who volunteered to mann the office for any last minute deals?!    Most of them have planned for a barbecue get together while watching the fire works that’s going to be at the Morrison Park here in Boise.   Not me … I am scheduled to work!!!    Well, I don’t mind … I think is a ‘double pay’ if I am not mistaken …..

The weather turned crazy today.  It was so warm and sunny until I got out of the car and started raining  on my way back from work … it got me sneezing there for a while.  I am still sneezing … I hate to see it gloomy outside, looking dark and windy ~ do not want the look of winter just yet, exactly, not close!

a beautiful Monday!

Monday …. my weekend  just started!  Its soooo good to be out of  the work environment for a couple of days and looking so much for it!   Hear from my friend, Juanita, that she went to pick Cherries on her days off in some Orchards far in the country … Well I’ll have to go with her one of the sunny summer days soon and that would be much fun!

Its a beautiful summer sunny day!  Can’t believe that June is coming to an end and its half of year gone.  Glad too that summer is here for a big change in the local weather.  Everyone has been waiting for a nice sunny and a fairly warm Idaho summer days …  at least its not a real scorching hot such as in the southern states but it can be at times!

Can’t believe it too … Michael Jackson is dead.  With so much publicity around and never ending stories of him on TV and on the internet.  Well nobody is to blame, afterall he made it  to the top~  the King Of Pop Music!

They’re re-sealing the road outside … they look so busy and while they blow all the leaves away at some corner, its so dusty and noisy at the moment and I am closing my windows.  Hopefully they’ll be done in no time, they are doing a good and fast job here.

Of  Course …. Had to eat something on my birthday … with some sides.   Ymmmm Sashimi, love the fresh raw fish …what else can I say!

Historical Idaho

Drove about three hours south, just to get out of the city … found sites of the unforgotten tale of the Oregon Trail. The area is of course the lagging countryside, with pretty much of a quiet and serene getaway for people who wants to go out of the city. Not much to wander about but the snake river is just so beautiful to avoid! Some pictures to share and its all about tiny historical Idaho towns.

Found the Monastery in a secluded location, up a hillway out in the country .. and also out of curiosity, we went in and it was really amazing and beautiful inside the monastery. There was a gift shop that sells all kinds of religious items and we bought a beautiful Red Rose Scented Rosary in red color and its pocket from here.    The Monastery overlooks a scenic downhill areas of vast land!
