Have been staying home most of the day …. today and tomorrow are my days off. We missed the casinos in Reno … we’re planning to cross the border into Nevada and check out Jackpot when we all have same off days soon. Not sure whether I can though! Lesley and her Dad might be able to go and then planning on going to ISU to see someone at the admissions office for Lesley’s PharmD program … Lesley is now seriously deciding and she talks about it nearly everyday! It makes everyone excited though. Its a good idea that she still loves studying. Well she’s young and has big brains!

Its really does feel like summer today … it was high at 78F here and my sliding door was opened wide all day. It is a lovely day indeed! On those big trees just outside of our door, buds are coming out and the branches that have been looking dead all winter are slowly looking green and greener everyday. Its refreshing!

I have not been comfortable with my left ear … probably an infection or something but will be seeing a physician tomorrow. Hopefully its nothing serious. Am going to bed early tonight.

Oh … my custom header is looking much better. Took this picture in Marsing, ID http://www.idahogateway.com/

Its weekend and I am off to work very soon now and will still be working tomorrow! Its a gorgeous day, calm and sunny at 51F … I just love this weather! Looks like its vacation time but can’t take a vacation yet …. need to work and save money. Lesley is taking part-time courses this summer and quitting her second job very soon now and hope that this is the best choice that she could have at the moment. Bernard is having a potluck today and he suggested that I baked some Egg Tart for him & his group …. I was sort of lazy to do all the hassle of baking but managed to do it all morning. I had still time to write this post and soon I’ll be at work.

Just noticed that my custom header doesn’t look well … its only three fourth of the picture at times. Well will do that again tomorrow.

the simple life …

Was a busy Thursday for me …. Lesley ‘collected’ me from work today on her way back from Mercy Medical, Nampa. Was nice to have a personal driver for our short drive home though ~ not sure whether she likes to read this at all!!!! Ahhhh ~ on our way home, we dropped by Fred Meyer and bought a Rotiserrie Chicken …. as part of our dinner tonight!

Its National Med Tech Week for Lesley and I guess they are having daily ‘food for thought’ with her Pathology colleagues all week long so she need not worry about having to bring her own lunch for the week.

Bernard & I have never really celebrated any of our wedding anniversaries …. today is our 27th and was a well remembered day ‘at heart’! http://www.flickr.com/photos/whatshappening/2118997091/ Good enough but perhaps we could do better next year …….

anyone’s favorite?

Am still on my day off today …. will have to work tomorrow! I baked my favorite Egg Tarts today ~ 24 pieces in all. As always, they’re nicely done and would probably last 2 days as everyone loves it! Bernard brought a couple to work this evening and have brought some last week as well. One of his colleague has requested a recipe for this Egg Tart as I was told that he (friend) liked it as well! The Egg Tart is of course delicious and I am glad to have learned on baking it!

Other than having baked my egg tarts, not much of a Wednesday …. did some ironing, some simple cleaning up on my kitchen cabinet then relaxed … and let Wednesday slipped by!

free Tuesday

finally … its my day off today and tomorrow as well! Am so glad .. went over to Ontario OR today which is just over an hour’s drive from home. Lesley wanted to find out the possibility of taking some courses at the Community College there as the tuition is typical much cheaper … about half the fees charged by BSU. Its those Pharmacy college requirement subject and which she hopes to transfer when she actually enrolls full time for the Pharmacy program in the near future. Not sure yet as she was also thinking that she still have 2 jobs to cope with and she really does need a good ‘time management’ indeed!! The town of Ontario is quite small … its quiet … not many traffic … its peaceful! Took some pictures but is yet to be uploaded and probably be in my next post.

hectic of me …. TGI

with one comment

Just realized that this week went by just so fast. I felt like it was only a start of the week but its already Friday evening again! No time wasted here but have been productive all week for me I must say, minus the sickly Monday morning of course! Life has been pretty hectic I can feel that right now …. just got back and its 11.52pm! Need to blog for Friday and I wanna save and publish it right now before I go to sleep. I will not have my days off until Tuesday and Wednesday and will be working over the weekend with groups checking in, a number of VIPS etc etc in which I am yet to master in time to come.    With me just having gotten the thought and a feel of my new role, I feel I am still yet to accomplish a big life goal!   I wish myself all the best !

fun training

without comments

Have been ‘on training’ for 2 days now ~ not to say that its much fun but little bit boring at times. Need to get familiarized with lots of information etc especially when its the 5-star SOP. So by reading the manual and do application on the computer is much of a repetition in the learning process. But that’s the way its done …. otherwise it becomes more interesting when interrupted by some great conversation at times! I do have great colleagues who are wonderful teachers and are very much willing to help out. Hopefully its getting more interesting as the weekend approaches …

I’ve just got back from work, Bernard & Lesley are working nights and would only see them in the morning!  That’s life and we’re getting used to it.   Went over to Winco Foods on my way back home just now and got some Lemon Iced Tea for Lesley … I figure that going for your grocery after 10pm is much more easy and convenient than doing it during the day or rather, rush hours as you’ll get stuck on long line cash registers. Well now that the weather is warmer, things can be easily said and done but would not think that its going to be easy in winter when its freezing and snow piles up on the road!

sickly …

…. Am not in the best of health today, felt dizzy at about noon. I was also probably hungry and felt so weak. I was probably so pale and I felt I wanted to faint so I hurriedly lied down on the bed. Good thing it did not happen at work. I still felt some kind of a mild dizziness until 6pm. This is not the very first time I’ve experience dizziness … I have seen a doctor before and I was told that in some cases during or immediately after a monthly menses and due to blood loss this phenomenon does happen in any woman’s life cycle. The best advise was to lie down or at least have a ‘quick rest’. A quick rest might not be convenient sometimes especially at work …. I pray that this will not happen to me again!

weekend is almost over

This is the Church we attend mass most of the time ~ St John’s Cathedral and its the nearest from where we live. The area around St John’s has got many beautiful churches belonging to other Christian denomination and I can say that they are all equally beautiful in its architectural design similarity.

In the inside, its more beautiful than you can imagine. The high windows are all colorful and beautiful tainted glass that shines each time I’m inside the Cathedral. I found more beautiful pictures especially on the inside design at http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=St.+John%27s+Cathedral+Boise&s=int

We’re attending the 6pm live teen mass today and currently at 79F, its just a fantastic Sunday afternoon!
