mother’s day weekend

Woke up early this morning and just could at sleep any longer … will surely get sleepy at work! Lesley woke up so early, I could hear her opening and closing the door and that woke me up. She has to work for her last 2 days of her part-time job at Mercy Medical Center starting 0630am. She has to leave at about 0545am as its about 45minutes drive away. Glad that she does not have to wake up so early after this Sunday … she’ll be back to school starting this summer.

Am working this weekend … I don’t mind … cos its fun! Need time to go for a quick grocery but I’ll probably go later tonight after work ~ less people in line for sure.

My friend Elaine has called up from New Orleans – she is one successful lady. She is opening up a convenience store pretty soon, after having bought 2 apartment blocks (20 units) and a 110-room hotel in Baton Rouge. She has always wanted us to visit her again ~ its been quite sometimes ~ after my visit to New Orleans in 2004 but distance and time has not done any good yet but perhaps in the near future.

Wishing all mothers a very happy mother’s day … especially to my mom far away!
