Monday is over …
It wasn’t a bad day at work today …. Am glad to have my day off next day and we’re going to Sun Valley, a famous resort town in Idaho. Glad that the summer weather permits us to travel … and we are trying to travel every time we get our days off together. It is just fun to visit places! But no fun on the gas price though … that is getting more and more expensive each day!

Dessert of the Day!
Well, its Joan’s Fresh Egg Tart!!! I decided to bake my favorite ‘egg tart’ again. Its been a while since I last did this …. but it was fine and yummy as ever! Have got 20 in all ~ 12 in normal size and 8 smaller ones, a ‘one bite’ size each. The preparation takes time but once it is in the oven, I only have to wait for the right time to take it out!
yippee ~ friday but no big deal!
We have plans to go out of town after the July 4th weekend … but my request for days off is still pending. Sort of disappointed though but there are now short of staff after Greg has left and I am afraid that its not going to be approved afterall. Well, have told Bernard and Lesley and we’ll probably postponed our ‘out-of-town’ trip someday again!
Friday again … and its my day off but will be working Saturday. Not much for the day and will probably be staying home and read the book entitled “Live What You Love” by Bob & Melinda Blanchard. Lesley has read the book (I think) and it shows you to stop procrastinating and instead create a passionate and fulfilling life with the author’s 5-step signature guide!

My brother Tony sent me a text message which I got at about 2am … I was fast asleep. He wanted to inform me that he just got a baby girl … I think he was very excited! He now has a pair …. I was able to reply to his text msg but was too sleepy to elaborate a full congratulatory sentence. I hope he was aware that I was still sleeping! Anyhow … to Tony & Rubika … congratulations again and do send pictures!
a little bit for the day
Just a little bit for the day …. its already Thursday and for this week, its beginning to slow down a bit until things are back once again to busy, crazy and going nuts for July 4th weekend where people are traveling either for indulgence or staycation!
Today is also the ‘last day’ that I work with my colleague, Greg! He needs to win for his election! He is one of the few senior staff in the office and has been a very good instructor for me, as a fairly new employee and also everybody else. He has also guided me through working into perfection from the first day of my learning the office system tasks! I did enjoy working with him especially when he gets fed up and mad with the slow moving computer system program that we were working on …. it was lots of fun! StayCation
Just found this article on how the gas prices has plumeted in Canada & US. Some local gas stations sells slightly lower than the other. Went to fill up my gas tank and paid $23.99 for just over 6 gallons of gas! I hope the gas price hike will halt somehow very soon. It is indeed expensive to go on a road trip if this trend is still on the rise! People are having themselves a ’staycation’ to avoid expensive travel.

I drink coffee almost everyday … except when I am sick but still a cup of coffee is great for me anytime, anywhere! I drink an average of only a cup per day so that’s not that bad after all!

June 23!
Wowwww its Monday June 23 and its my birthday! I am another year younger!!!!!! I worked a full shift and we’re going for dinner ~~ I thought I chose a good place to eat on my birthday. We had dinner at one of the Thai restaurants in town, we all love their fresh spring rolls and the ‘Cha Gior’ and we ordered a mix of their ‘house specialties. The restaurant was also nearby and we do not have much time as Lesley starts work at 9pm and had to leave before then. Before leaving home, I was thinking of going to my favorite place ~ The Outback! Lesley and Bernard were not especially interested in having steaks …well, at least not this weak. The Outback is located about 30 minutes away and with the rush traffic in the city, we decided to go a short distance.

a fairly quiet sunday for me
The Sunday paper was a little bit late this morning …. probably a hurdle of carrying the sales stuff from place to place!!! A fairly quiet day with not much going on … just want to relax as the day passes by! Kids are back in the swimming pool, can hear them shouting & splashing for joy again …. they just love the water!
