to sunset mass
Just got back from Sunset Mass this evening … It was our turn to bring the Communion Gifts this time around. Just a reflection from today’s Psalms …
Your words, Lord, are Spirit and life
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
Was still foggy when we were on the road and it wasn’t that cold .. well, at 35F! Kids of St Joe’s Catholic School were having a fundraising event outside the Church. They were selling Cakes, Cookies and the like and saw everyone start buying the good stuff immediately after mass.
A White Christmas 2008
Attended mass this morning to start off our day … it was wet and snowing ! The snow fall was really pretty ~ was indeed a White Christmas for Boise this year! Took this picture of St John’s Cathedral’s beautiful Altar … Clicked with the old Canon camera, it turned out dark and awful! Lesley has brought the other camera with her to Tokyo … I need to get one of my own! Well … can’t handle a more complicated camera like Bernard’s new Nikon too as I think its too bulky! Sharing two contrasting pictures below …..

Wet & Snowing ~ St John’s Cathedral is on the right.
a Sunday pastime!
Mid-year already?
Gosh how time flies! I have planned on going to the Botanical Garden today …. not a good day it seems and not a good time to take pictures as well! Its been raining since morning and its gloomy outside right now. The flowers at the garden are waiting to be photographed ~ hehehe ~ perhaps I do that on another day! But if the day is brighter in the evening, will probably go. Am working a full week ahead …. and am looking forward to it again. Just called my colleague for some updates today, they are just so busy again, not only for the weekend but participants for events and conventions are coming in … almost full house and people in groups just do not stop coming in!
Its been a quite Sunday …. staying home until we go to Church this evening. Definitely need spiritual renewal and help once a week, at least for myself. Normally at this time when the weather is hot, can hear kids splashing and shouting for fun at the swimming pool but its sooooo quiet out there ~ well may be for now!
Am working on a special album for our ‘older pictures’ … Lesley wanted her pictures during her ‘wonder years’ specially done. She knows she can’t get that cute face of hers anymore especially those pictures taken at grandma’s and grandpa’s home when she was about a year old. Need time to scan all those pictures and putting them in good place are just time consuming.
Love those young springs leaves at my backyard … not quite mature yet they look so freshly green! Can’t help but to take pictures of them. There is a big contrast between the leaves that do not wither during winter and the ones in the picture below. I just love nature! I often see squirrels munching something right on the tree bark and birds alike have gotten nested in one of those branches.
weekend is almost over
This is the Church we attend mass most of the time ~ St John’s Cathedral and its the nearest from where we live. The area around St John’s has got many beautiful churches belonging to other Christian denomination and I can say that they are all equally beautiful in its architectural design similarity.
In the inside, its more beautiful than you can imagine. The high windows are all colorful and beautiful tainted glass that shines each time I’m inside the Cathedral. I found more beautiful pictures especially on the inside design at http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=St.+John%27s+Cathedral+Boise&s=int
We’re attending the 6pm live teen mass today and currently at 79F, its just a fantastic Sunday afternoon!
