Its really a gloomy Sunday … its raining and snowing at the same time but the snow lasted for only about half an hour.    That was rain turning into  quite a thick snow!   Its  been raining overnight and still is.   Wished the sun would be out there later.

When I was driving to work later in the day,  it was dark and  cloudy and did want to get wet while I walk from the parking lot to the office.

This is also a very boring Sunday for me … I am feeling so sleepy now.  Thought the coffee would help but not quite.  That was a strong caffiene …  even by using a pack.     Not bad of a gourmet coffee and I think they specially ordered.

Its Thanksgiving week ahead ….. we’ll have our Thanksgiving day changed to a day earlier this year!!!   Traditionally North American being celebrated during the last Thursday of November ~  Not sure whether this is acceptable or not but its going to happen anyway.   Those two days before the actual day are our days off … what a coincidence! Will have to make full use of these 2 days ….     Lesley & I are both working on the actual Thanksgiving Day which is on Thursday.   Its going to be an extra hectic working day for me as I am scheduled to work on both jobs  with minimal hours on one    …  thinking about it … just for 2009!   I did work last Thanksgiving as well, did I or was it the day after?    My colleague, Juanita has invited me to come over to her place in Nampa to try out her thanksgiving fiesta dinner but can’t possibly go with my day being occupied.

Found this delicious turkey on the internet …. unfortunately not one of  mine!   Looks so perfect  for the Thanksgiving dinner table.    Would like to prepare one of those as I did in 2007 but the turkey was soooo humongous that we’ve had to  keep left overs frozen for quite a while .    Had it nicely done and tasty as well though.     Not sure whether I want to do that this year though.  But will surely prepare  a decent good  meal for us!

Not quite a fantastic week for me ….. back to my weekend job today, its pretty quite around here.   Surely,  a good time to catch up with my blog.

Lots of stuff has happened at my other job … the  property re-modelling  process is still going on,  still hearing and am sick  and tired of  ‘jack hammering’.  New and of course,  indeed a beautiful look in many areas  though,  suite rooms, ballroom and almost all public area, carpets, restaurants .. well almost everything in public areas look superb!  Love the carpet style and color, its the same as in any of the property chain.    Not sure when the whole renovation is complete but probably run till 2010!   Even a new GM is on board over the weekend  ….  Other colleagues comes and go for whatever reason of their own.   Part-time job for the holidays is quite easy to go by if one is not particularly choosy and many of the colleagues I know do have holiday jobs.  I can’t have a holiday job this year after getting my weekend occupied for the better.

Snowed light but enough to cover the car roof white … indeed not much of  it.  It did not stick on the ground – Good thing!  When I was on my way to work  today, it was so windy  ~  blowing away fallen  leaves all over the road and was all yellow leaves scattered.  The temperature is going low so the rain would mean turning into snow.   No fuss … its the time of the year again.  No pictures yet.

Here’s what the weather service says for today: Skies are clearing and temperatures are dropping this evening as the winds die down.  The combination of clear skies, lighter winds and fresh snow cover will lead to a very cold night, with the possibility of some patchy fog by morning.  Overnight lows will dip to the upper 10’s and low 20’s, while some mountain locations will drop below zero.

One of the green plants that I have at home  has leaves turning yellow … and I was wondering when FALL has come to its world as well.   Or is it just the normal decaying leaves that will soon drop out??   Definitely the plant has the effect somehow.

Quite busy at work this evening … the property is about 61% in occupancy.  Had to do  all my paperwork  before I could sit down and blog haha.   I noticed that most of the guests are probably bored as they can’t sit outside for a nice time under the sun anymore ….   otherwise they do have a BBQ pit at the back (garden)  for an evening of fun ~~~ the weather is just freezing now.   Looks like the coffee packs are all gone from the Goody Basket and needs to be replenished.   We normally fill out the basket so that guest can help themselves anytime.   In the past, nobody really cared for the coffee packs.  Its the season …..

Have seen these on display when I was at the Mall several weeks back … can’t remember where but I thought they’re beautifully designed!   Just thought I’d share …

Its Halloween night at work …  Saturday Night that is.    Its also the last day in October …  Daylight savings time ends tomorrow morning.  We all get to sleep an extra hour.    The rest of the day will be adjusting by itself from thereon …  I recently got hired for a Weekend job so can’t go shopping on the weekend anymore ….    I am working every Saturday and Sunday for another property organization and so far am happy here.   This is my 3rd week thus far!   I would want this to work out well for me, the people I work with are really nice and helpful.  Otherwise I am still having my other job full time .. though hours have been cut for the low season.  Just glad that I got this part-time job.

A few kids came for ‘Trick or Treat” .  We’ve got lots of candies and other good sweet stuff for them.   Pretty quite in the area though its just nice and cool outside … no wind today, just calm air.   Do not want any spooky stuff somewhere out there on Halloween.

Sights of Autumn are pretty much here in Boise … beautiful golden leaves and lots have fallen on the ground which makes the lawn look really pretty!   Have taken some pictures and will post  some when I get home.    There was light snow last Tuesday and was really nothing much sticking to the ground but nice to see a white rain in the come back.  We’ll probably get those in abundance come December onwards!

Was freezing over the weekend … next morning all the mountain top are all white and covered with snow….  pretty to look at!  No pictures yet by me but will get to that pretty soon …   will get a little bit warmer in the couple of days to come but summer is completely gone …. no more vacationing for me, at least for now.    Its all work and looking forward to the holiday season thats just around the corner!   Bogus Basin – a winter getaway, not far from where I live,  got about 6 inches of snow lately … and perhaps preparing for all time winter events. Well at least something to look forward to.

Look at what I bought over the weekend on my days off …. love scented candles and these candles are more than perfect for the home when I can’t let my doors and windows open during the cold season when its too cold for me.   I love to shop for these and bought 2 sets  … they’re perfect as gifts too.

End of  September (with a day still short) … and with the low temperature today, it wasn’t fantastic at all.  Gloomy as it may seem,  autumn is here.  Leaves are turning golden yellow and in fact, my favorite time of the year!  With the wind and rain combined, leaves are seen flying off the branches to fill the ground.

Its time to wear my jacket again ….

Hopefully there are still days with warmer weather coming up to cheer up any stressful work day!
