Cool Friday ~ the 13th
Friday, the 13th and the start of really cold days ahead …. snow can be seen on the mountains. Went out for a merchandise return this afternoon. Took this picture on the way out and it was about 4pm … leaves are on the ground, in a beatiful spread! Am on my day off but will work all weekend of fun at my part-time job. Brrr its 31F or -1C!!!
Its Friday, the 13th!
Its been a busy and tiring two weeks in a row. Indeed the Special Olympics Team made us fully occupied and ‘unavailable’ for other less important stuff! It was really a big event and fun time for the people in Boise …. meeting all friends ~ organizers, fundraisers for the event, volunteers, athletes, sponsors, parents of special people from different countries and not forgetting all good things about the special events ~ the way it was handled and how they actually organized the event from Day 1 till closing! More human traffic than ever, the property I worked for became the ‘office’ for the event and coping up with such an event wasn’t that easy but we made it to the best!
Even city streets have experienced a long traffic jam during rush hours. I was about 5 minutes late to work on Thursday as they have closed one lane on one of the major street leading to the city connector when US Vice President, Mr Joe Biden came to Boise. Not a big deal but have never been late for work! Today is the Closing Day and majority of the “participants” are headed to the airport starting to tomorrow to wherever their destination is.
Something may be out there ~ Way out there!!

On the outskirts of creation, unknown, unseen “structures” are tugging on our universe like cosmic magnets, a controversial new study says.
Everything in the known universe is said to be racing toward the massive clumps of matter at more than 2 million miles (3.2 million kilometers) an hour—a movement the researchers have dubbed dark flow. The presence of the extra-universal matter suggests that our universe is part of something bigger—a multiverse—and that whatever is out there is very different from the universe we know, according to study leader Alexander Kashlinsky, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. The theory could rewrite the laws of physics. Current models say the known, or visible, universe—which extends as far as light could have traveled since the big bang—is essentially the same as the rest of space-time (the three dimensions of space plus time).

Its not a fantastic day, its gloomy outside right now and it looks like we’re going to have a storm pretty soon. Though its currently at 84
F, the weather looks ‘freaky’! Fall will come officially on Monday, Sep 22 and its also Lesley’s birthday! Yeaaaah!!! Another layer of clothes is possible anytime now especially in the cool mornings ~ no more that nice and warm feel but I am sure that some early Fall days would still be warm and sunny.

Its Friday!
Have not been blogging lately. My time has been really occupied with just stuff around me, busy in my work and at home as well. There are lots to catch up with after being away from almost a week. The pictures that I have taken during the trip are all not done up and am still storing them in the right place. My laptop is not behaving well as it used to be. I need to do a quick clean up one of these days ….
Tough day at work! Three of my colleagues in a different department have been laid off. Yes ~ laid off and with a short notice! It was a sad situation. I know of many larger private companies are laying off their workers and some have just cut the hours per week for their employees and so on … I guess for some, times are bad! That’s Life’s Endurance …………………………….. I am cheering up with my favorite cartoonist ~ Harold’s Planet!

getting thru the day
Had to go to a few places today …. Went to the bank, grocery store, Barnes & Noble bookstore and of course, the Mall is just nearby ~ all in one area so I do not have to drive too far apart! The weather is soooo hot today … 98F and I was just sweating out.
Bought some Chinese bun as well ~ thought that was a ‘tausa’ bun but it wasn’t! It was equally delicious and its been a long time since I had one of those. Its so bright and sunny at 7pm here and will be calling back my Mom in a while.

I am off to work at 8am today ……
