The Oregon Coast
Oregon Coast – The most interesting and refreshing drive …. the Oregon Coast is indeed beautiful. We’ve made lots of photo stops along Coast .. there are many bridges as well separating an area to another. Some are quite high up and they have names as well which I did not pay attention to at all! We left Newport in the evening and headed towards Salem to spend the night. Salem is a nice medium-size city … we liked this place a lot though!
Drove around Salem area before heading further north to Portland, a busy place to be in. Probably not the nicest city to live but just outside of Portland, smaller cities are probably nicer, quiet and peaceful. Managed to find our dim sum lunch/dinner in nearby Old Chinatown …Lesley liked the food a lot. Did not like to area well but we did not have much time to explore everything but just where the nearby attraction was. Good to re-visit and it was more than 20 years ago since I last visited Portland!!!
Another place that we did not want to miss was the famous Multnomah Falls ….there were other falls in the area and they were all beautiful indeed … It was early morning so the area was cool and was just nice to trek up the viewpoint bridge to sweat out a little bit! I do recommend this place for anyone who happens to be in this area.
Finally we were on our way back home ~ driving from Portland back to Boise, passing through smaller cities ~ interesting as well! Another long drive via I-84 and still many stops along the way and never miss taking pictures of those wonderful scenery in nature.
an evening walk
I was on time to finish off my work today and day after day, week after week … the time has slipped by so fast. Bernard and I had time to go and check out Kathryn Albertson’s Park, a place we’ve passed by many times but had never gone inside the Park to appreciate its beautiful surrounding. It’s a beautiful park with lakes, trees, birds, ducks, streams and all the nature scenes you’re expect … and with the most favorable walking pavement for visitors ~ not allowed to walk off-paths????? I did sweat a bit as the sun was still bright and warm … it was a good exercise for people like me! Its also a favorite place for summer outdoor wedding venue … the scenery is just fantastic and beautiful!

keeping busy
I am off to work at 8am today ……
staying home
Will spend the day at home doing some household chores ….. the laundry and some cleaning up. Some old clothes need to be donated, Lesley has quite a lot of those! I will be reading my “Creative Home Arts” book later today and to see what I can easily start on some crafting ‘exercise’ that is of my interest! There are so many beautiful and simple do-it-yourself crafts with easy instruction to start with. They’re way ahead ….. as they are already featuring ideas for Fall!

Again Monday ……
Have to start the day a little bit early today, wake up earlier than usual …. It’s a Monday and Monday is not quite a fantastic day for my typical week! The morning weather though is just nice and cool and would apparently reach 90F in the afternoon. Mom is going to be admitted for her 2nd knee surgery again tomorrow and I am praying that everything will be perfectly fine for her. It’s a lot of pain to go thru …

Monday is over …
It wasn’t a bad day at work today …. Am glad to have my day off next day and we’re going to Sun Valley, a famous resort town in Idaho. Glad that the summer weather permits us to travel … and we are trying to travel every time we get our days off together. It is just fun to visit places! But no fun on the gas price though … that is getting more and more expensive each day!
