Our trip to Sun Valley was fantastic! We have enjoyed every minute of it … it was a fairly warm and lovely day and was just nice for a day trip! We passed through many beautiful small towns with its own unique designs and settings. Driving through the country has always inspired us as we love to go through highways instead of freeways in order to avoid congestion. We knew that most highways bring us right through country town …. As usual, have taken lots of pictures to be added to my collection!

It wasn’t a bad day at work today …. Am glad to have my day off next day and we’re going to Sun Valley, a famous resort town in Idaho. Glad that the summer weather permits us to travel … and we are trying to travel every time we get our days off together. It is just fun to visit places! But no fun on the gas price though … that is getting more and more expensive each day!

They call it Summer Solstice … it did not matter much to me! I know for sure that its going to be warm and sunny in the days ahead but well will just enjoy the weather while it lasts! Some interesting stuff for fun ….  I guess the figure is about right … I was a 99% when I first started though!

Its amazing … I’ve got time to post! I’m quite free! Some days I wish I could blog more and be able to share more often than I could. Today, I have accomplished what I really wanted to do. At noon, I was still thinking about shoes .. wanting to buy one … So I did go to Dillards and got myself a pair, was on sale! I was tempted to buy a couple of outfit as well … damn … spent quite a lot today!

I went to the Gym ~ which is just at the corner, just across the parking lot. Its a small gym with some simple equipment but a nice place for a workout! Sad to say … but this is the very first time that I have actually done a full hour of exercise!!! Running on the treadmill was just enough for me, pausing along the way … have long wanted to own a treadmill at home but not so sure yet …. if I do not have the ‘exercise mindset’, nothing happens! Next to the Gym is the swimming pool …. kids and grown up kids alike are happily splashing out there! That’s so much fun!

My neighbour must have thought that I am crazy …. he was playing his musical flute outside the corridor and smiling .. being a camera frenzy, I took picture of the pool area. Was not able to snap the gym as there are other residence there at that time and they’ll think I’m crazy taking a pic out of the place!!! Hopefully the people have not seen me taking this picture (below) !! ….

Woke up a bit late today as its my other day off for the week! Can’t sleep much as the sun is shining brightly coupled with the birdy sound ~ in another word, its nice and beautiful out there! Am not doing much today … I’ll be working tomorrow morning again and will have a three-day off for the week. I’ll be having a long weekend next week which is good after working long hours with varied shifts for a while! Just to share … Work is all the same anywhere in the world; there is bound to be grapevine among others! People are just not created equal!!!!

Am going out with Lesley today …. her Dad worked all night long so he needs to catch up with sleep! Lesley is on her last day of her week off and will be working tomorrow night for the next 8 nights! I guess her life as Med Tech is as happy as she can be! This week would have been her days at Mercy Medical Center but glad that she has quit that hectic job and is able to relax for at least 6 days straight before getting on 8 nights again … and  …  with a good decision as she’ll be back to school again at Boise State University come June 9!

Just to add here …. at 1110pm ~ we’ve had a wonderful time eating ice cream at Baskin’ Robins this afternoon … it was a lovely day. The little ice cream parlor was full of customers! Have not had ice cream for quite a while now. We would love to go back to the same store again soon.

Its great coz its Sunday and its my day off! Went off shopping at the mall late morning for some couple of hours. Its all summer clothes that are on sale as I went thru the Sunday papers and indeed have got lots of stuff to shop for [provided I have the $$$ of course but I don't!!!] … now thats the weather is so bright and sunny! Bought myself a pair of working pants which was not at all easy to find! I always find Macys a better place to shop for my outfit as they do have lots of choice on the petite size clothes that can fit me well. I was also on the look out for a decent pair of working shoes but nothing has suited my taste just yet! I saw a nice and comfortable shoes but the price tag was so enormous for me right now, perhaps will make another trip to get that later – what a dismay!

The restaurant rows are now putting tables with canopy and chairs outside of their premises ~ garden sit-down dining areas … we anticipate to be one of those guests soon, especially so when sunset is at about 9pm now.   Have not dine out for quite a while  … hmmm thinking of Olive Garden or perhaps Red Lobster really soon! The other two will love Red Lobster but I could take some other stuff besides seafood! I am very much still allergic to those delectable gourmet food.

To Church this evening …and will have to do some ironing thereafter. What a wonderful Sunday!

Have been staying home most of the day …. today and tomorrow are my days off. We missed the casinos in Reno … we’re planning to cross the border into Nevada and check out Jackpot when we all have same off days soon. Not sure whether I can though! Lesley and her Dad might be able to go and then planning on going to ISU to see someone at the admissions office for Lesley’s PharmD program … Lesley is now seriously deciding and she talks about it nearly everyday! It makes everyone excited though. Its a good idea that she still loves studying. Well she’s young and has big brains!

Its really does feel like summer today … it was high at 78F here and my sliding door was opened wide all day. It is a lovely day indeed! On those big trees just outside of our door, buds are coming out and the branches that have been looking dead all winter are slowly looking green and greener everyday. Its refreshing!

I have not been comfortable with my left ear … probably an infection or something but will be seeing a physician tomorrow. Hopefully its nothing serious. Am going to bed early tonight.

Its weekend and I am off to work very soon now and will still be working tomorrow! Its a gorgeous day, calm and sunny at 51F … I just love this weather! Looks like its vacation time but can’t take a vacation yet …. need to work and save money. Lesley is taking part-time courses this summer and quitting her second job very soon now and hope that this is the best choice that she could have at the moment. Bernard is having a potluck today and he suggested that I baked some Egg Tart for him & his group …. I was sort of lazy to do all the hassle of baking but managed to do it all morning. I had still time to write this post and soon I’ll be at work.

Just noticed that my custom header doesn’t look well … its only three fourth of the picture at times. Well will do that again tomorrow.
