Dinner @Epi’s

with 2 comments

We’ve had dinner at a Basque Restaurant this evening … we had long wanted to try out a Basque Cuisine.   Not bad … the restaurant was packed and dining at Epi’s can only be done through reservation, no walk-in. They are only open for about 3 hours a day for 5 days a week for dinner.  The place is really cozy,  located in a residential setting in nearby Meridian …. Look at the outside of the restaurant, its pretty!    Its nicely decorated in the inside as well.   Limited parking is at the back of the restaurant.

Amazingly the Grilled Green Pepper tasted very nice ….

Monday Cool

with one comment

Its Labor Day today and its so quiet in the area.   The temperature is cooling down … the temperature right now is only 65F (18C) and will probably be warmer by 5pm.      Isn’t that little squirrel cute?  The little guy is enjoying its meal and we found him at the backyard.   I will not see him during the winter time ….  he’ll be hiding somewhere warmer!

I’m trying to enjoy the rest of the day!

Now that the season is here and Fall semester has started,  here’s  the latest around the city … the following excerpt is taken from KTVB.com

5,000 BSU/UO student tickets sold in about 1 hour

KTVB – Students lined up early

BOISE — If you still aren’t convinced that this week’s Boise State-Oregon game is getting more attention than any game in Bronco Stadium history, then this might do the trick.

Tickets for Boise State students went on sale Monday at 10 a.m., and by 11:23 a.m. all 5,000 students tickets were gone.

Fans started lining up to get their hands on the last remaining seats Sunday night.

Since Boise State doesn’t allow camping out in line at Bronco Stadium or the Student Union Building, thousands spent the night in the parking lot so they can be among the first in line when campus officials started allowing people to line up at 6 a.m.

The university allowed students to begin standing in line at 6 a.m. at the Stadium and Taco Bell ticket windows and also at the SUB.

Thousands of students left disappointed, not being able to purchase a ticket for the Broncos home opener.

Also dropped by The Great Basin National Park and Zion National Park on our road trip … not forgetting What the Great Wonders of Nature has to offer! Its too far of a drive and amazingly, there are lots of people inside the Park appreciating nature.

Monday again

with one comment

Got really lots to catch up with … am glad to having a Monday off today and it looks like I’m off almost each Monday.    I ripped off my shirt the other day at work,  left  a hole on the left sleeve.   It got caught in that bathroom metal latch!   What a spoiler!

Thinking I am too free today ….  have uploaded more Vegas pictures I took.  It was just too sunny and hot for me to take nice photographs and  most  of them did not turn out nice ~ too lazy!!!

Nice to be back

Vegas is one thing famous for …  its lots of fun and there’s lots of happenings!  Going there in the summer was not fun, it was above 100F all the days we were there.  It was burning hot!  Wished the weather was like in Boise … which is just nice!  Had to walk a lot to go thru to the strip ….. they were doing road construction as well which made the traffic situation go worst i.e from 4 to 2 lanes.   Its Vegas so people had to dance or sing on the middle of the road while waiting for the traffic to ease! We were stuck for about 2 hours just to pass by Las Vegas Blvd which is less than 15 minutes drive on a very normal day!      Took the easier and convenient way from our hotel next day … the monorail but again one has to walk thru casinos to cross into the strip (hmmmm complains …)  but everyday was lots of fun.   Of course took lots of pictures and was exhausted taking pics during the day as the weather made me lazy to take one but here are some of them below.  Will add-on ….
